East End Women’s Network, EEWN, Scholarship Program will honor three deserving high school female graduates who have made significant and positive differences in their community through their actions and leadership. 

Qualifications:

a female high school senior that is currently enrolled at a public or private school in an East End township: Fisher’s Island to Riverhead, Eastport- Manorville to East Hampton; and who will be enrolled at a post-secondary educational or career/technical training program this Fall.

Application deadline: midnight on April 28, 2024.

Award: $1,000

A complete application will include each of the following items.

a) The application

b) Submission of:

· An essay (1000 words) on “What does leadership mean to You?”

· Two letters of recommendation from one from a member of their school’s staff and one from a community person/employer

· High School transcript

· Resume

Applications will be reviewed and scored based on Academic Performance, Community and School Involvement, Recommendations and the Essay.

Winners will be contacted on or before May 7, 2024. Each scholarship recipient, and up to two designees, will be honorary guests at our May Meeting: May 15, 2024. After dinner there will be a brief presentation of the scholarships during which each recipient will be asked to make a quick address to the membership and attendees highlighting themselves and/or their future plans. The event will be held at an East End restaurant/location, to be announced.
